Water purification system
The core of RO (reverse osmosis) industrial water purifiers is reverse osmosis membrane technology. Its working principle involves forcing raw water through a semi-permeable membrane with pores smaller than 1 nanometer under high pressure (typically 1.5-10.5 MPa). This allows water molecules to pass through while retaining most impurities such as inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organic matter, colloids, bacteria, and viruses, thus achieving highly efficient separation and purification.
Compared to traditional water treatment methods, its main advantages include:
- Highly efficient purification: It can remove over 98% of dissolved salts and the vast majority of pollutants from water.
- Low energy consumption: The separation process does not involve phase change and is mainly pressure-driven, resulting in relatively energy savings.
- Stable operation: Physical desalination methods produce stable effluent quality and a high degree of automation.
